SPITS, WILLEM (BILL)
December 17, 1920 - June 23, 2005
Bill passed away at the age of 84 in Ocean Park, B.C. He is survived by Lilla, his loving wife of 61 years and their two children, daughter, Carolin Loog and son, Leslie Spits, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, as well as one sister in Holland. His early years were spent in Holland and Indonesia. He attended the Royal Dutch Naval Academy in DenHelder until German occupation forced the evacuation of the Dutch Navy to England. While he continued his military career in England, he met his wife Lilla. Post-war they resided in Holland where he had a successful career with KLM. In 1954, he and his family immigrated to Vancouver where he continued his career in personnel management with the British Columbia Telephone Co. until his retirement. Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 12953 20th Avenue, Ocean Park, Wednesday, June 29th, 2005 at 11:30am.
