WILKES, William R. Dad was a fine gentleman with a kind & generous heart who always had time for his loved ones. Born in Toronto in 1915 he learned to work hard in his youth & this work ethic continued throughout his life. He was a man of principles & this served him well in his service as a pilot in the RCAF in 1940 - '45 and after the war in his 30 year career with an aerial survey engineering company.
He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine and son Robert. He is survived by his daughters Wendy (Horst) Tengler,
Jane and Al Wallace, and Mary Atwater (Peter Howell) as well as 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. It is with great sadness we say goodbye to this good man, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandpa. A memorial service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2350 148th St. Surrey, on October 5th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice
