May 4, 1937 - February 26, 2020
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wolfgang Fieguth, beloved husband and father. He died peacefully in his sleep at Peace Arch Hospital, after a long battle with heart and lung disease.
Wolfgang was born in Lichtenau, Germany on May 4, 1937 to Heinrich and Maria Fieguth. He is survived by his loving wife, Margarete, his sons Henry and Walter, his brother Hans, and sister Rosemarie.
In 1947, his family emigrated from war torn Germany to start a new life in South America. It was there that he met his wife Margarete and they were married in 1960. In 1963 they moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They were then blessed with two children. They moved to Surrey in 1976 and bought a small hobby farm. Wolfgang loved keeping and caring for pigeons, pheasants, ducks, and chickens. He had a passion for flowers and growing vegetables.
Wolfgang worked many years as a cabinet maker, and retired in the year 2000. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing, building things, and spending time at the family's lake lot.
Wolfgang was a most devoted husband and father. Dad, we miss you greatly and think of you every day. You will live on in our hearts and we know you're safe in the arms of the Lord.
