MOTT, Zena Mary Houston (nee Boucher)
October 27, 1923 - September 17, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Nana. She will be deeply missed by her loving family: daughters Arlene (Paul), Karen (Mark); grandchildren: Janine (Jeff), David, Tony (Delia) and Stephen (Lindsay) and their dad Tony Sr.; great-grandchildren: Michael, Jack, Clare and Meg, brother Houston Boucher and nephews, Don (Glynda) and Bob. Zena loved big band music which she shared with John, her husband of 53 years who passed in 1996. She also loved dancing, gardening, volunteering at the hospital, playing cards, poker, crib, board games, computer games, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku, and was always ready for new adventures especially if they involved the kids in the family. Family and friends were everything to her and she never tired of knitting, cooking, baking, providing a shoulder to cry on, encouraging and laughing with us all. She had the best hugs, made the best cookies and was our biggest cheerleader and trusted confidante. The various challenges she faced in her life may have defeated many but she met them with a positive attitude, courage, tenacity and an unfailing sense of humour. Nana, you are an inspiration to all of us. A celebration of Zena's life will take place at Beach Grove Golf Club on October 7th at 1:00 pm 5946 12th Avenue Tsawwassen.
