Re: Transparency not that costly, April 26 letters.
I was delighted to read the letter from our MP, Russ Hiebert, in which he lobbies for more transparency for the Canadian taxpayer. It suggests his allegiance is to his constituents and not, say, to Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
This brings me to ask a question of the editor.
Has Peace Arch News been holding back Russ’s letters condemning Harper and the Conservatives for their lack of openness? Think multi-billion dollar F-35 contract… Think election voting scandal…
Could it be that Hiebert only wants transparency around those issues in which his party is not involved?
