Let health-care workers decide

Re: Too many immunized against knowledge, Sept. 6.

Shame on you. You obviously trust the actions and decisions of our doctors, nurses and other health-care workers from spring till fall.

Then winter arrives and, all of a sudden, all these individuals are not capable of making a well-researched choice to not get a flu shot.

Your solution is to pass a regulation hopefully bullying individuals into putting a chemical substance – that they are strongly opposed to – into their body. Is this democracy?

I remember not that many years ago you couldn’t tell the public what the vaccine contained. Does this instill faith and trust in the system?

Your fear tactics have not worked for years, so you turn to regulation.

Mandatory co-operation will not be reached through regulation or any other negative means.

Let intelligent people choose for themselves; your time would be better spent on getting clear, decisive facts from the big pharmaceutical companies producing this drug for probably a considerable profit.

All B.C. citizens must be allowed to keep our freedom of choice.
