I was shocked that as a new home owner at a mobile home park where I own my land and dwelling, I had to pay $800 for each of two trees I had removed as they were damaging my dwelling, both trees being within three metres of my home.
How is it that a developer only pays $400? I have bought four trees to replace the two trees and left a deposit of $1,600 with the city of Surrey. Something seems amiss.
