What a delightful and interesting article.

You say columnist Emily Fenton was in a high school placement program in our Peace Arch News recently. Let’s hope that when she is fully qualified, she has an opportunity to join your team.

I would like to read more words from this charming young lady.

I applaud Ms. Fenton for coming to terms with her stuttering at such an early age.

If only I had been so courageous back then to begin the process.

I hope this inspires some of the approximately two per cent of the population who have this hidden impediment to no longer suffer in silence, as the world is now a more understanding and tolerant place for people who are viewed as different.

The “beast” haunts me still on occasion, but with age and life experiences it no longer dominates me or defines who I am.
