Re: Matthew Claxton’s ‘Other words’

column, Feb. 15.

Although I largely agree with his first two assertions, I disagree with his views on the ‘crisis’ in Venezuela entirely.

The truth was merely a phone call away to their consulate in Vancouver, but I bet my bottom petro-dollar he didn’t bother. He merely chose to parrot Chrystia Freeland.

Rachel Notley can’t sell Alberta’s oil either but nobody in Ottawa is calling for her overthrow, eh.
