I agree with Surrey Board of Trade CEO Anita Huberman that “artists and cultural spaces are powerful agents of change in the community.”
Do the artists support the development as it is, or just the cultural space?
Can our infrastructure support a 27-floor highrise development? Can our hospital or schools cope with the extra population? Do we have adequate water?
Will South Surrey become like Whalley?
I feel all these concerns should be addressed before council considers a development of this magnitude.
