I want to say thank you to the new White Rock city council.
They have been demonstrating the best part of living in a democracy recently, taking David Chesney’s idea and expanding it to include other council members in a Saturday morning conversation.
This really gives an informal approach to engaging their constituents and, as citizens, has given us a great way of getting to know our neighbours.
They have also recently hosted a number of community strategic priority workshops.
These recent workshops have given the citizens an opportunity to share openly our ideas on our current community and future city.
All of these actions and more remind us how lucky we are to live in an open democracy and a sense of ownership in contributing to our community. Thank you.
