My first walk on White Rock’s seaside boulevard following the official lifting of the dog ban, didn’t go well. It was a beautiful day and I met some friends, as is often the case.

Regrettably, I was forced to narrowly dodge dog crap on the paving stones – twice. Then, while discussing the matter with a friend, I was approached by a woman with a small dog in tow who confronted me, saying I “shouldn’t be so negative.”

The solution to the problem, according to her, would be for me to carry doggy bags and confront owners who allow their dogs mess to go unattended. Really? So I’m the problem?

This is so ridiculous it is beyond parody.
