LETTERS: Don’t hedge our safety

Like many of us older people who choose to live in this area, I, as an elderly person, have purchased a scooter to get me around town.

We scooter travellers are restricted to using sidewalks only. We are not allowed to travel on bike lanes or the roads.

This is my concern. Many householders do not consider us, allowing their trees and hedges to grow to infringe on the safe passage of the likes of me. I have to illegally go around these obstacles by travelling on roads.

Would you please be thoughtful enough to cut back your hedges?
