Re: Thoughts on gun control, March 9 letters.
As a legal firearms owner, I must take exception to letter-writer Jerry Spillets’ assertion that “the government, in their wisdom, makes it so difficult for a legitimate person to purchase a gun that they have to buy one through the backdoor.”
Nothing is further from the truth!
It is exceptionally easy for anyone without a serious criminal record to buy firearms in Canada. You spend a few dollars and take a course, receive your permit and away you go!
