July 28 I took my husband to Peace Arch Hospital for a very urgent scan. He had been given a difficult diagnosis the day before.

We arrived with plenty of time to park but, as usual, all the spaces in the lots and surrounding streets were full.

We parked at the end of a row in the Foundation lot. There was ample room to get around us.

Upon our return to the vehicle we found an $80 ticket for improper parking. I would say people who are parking at the hospital for the day are parking improperly. There is no surveillance of their vehicles to see how long they have been parked.

We are senior citizens and have frequent hospital trips. It took me two calls to Impark to get the fine waived and I am grateful for the kindness of the second woman with whom I spoke.
