I lost my driver’s licence at Crescent Beach on a recent Saturday.
I did not want to carry a wallet so I put my licence in my back pocket, along with my phone. I took out my phone a few times, once to take a picture of the blue herons, when we went in to sit down for a coffee, and again to use the washroom.
I live in south Langley, when I got home I reached into my back pocket and my driver’s licence was gone.
Well, now I’m in panic mode as I think about identity theft.
I went back to Crescent Beach and retraced my steps to no avail.
I just had to hope that someone would be in touch with me to say that they had found it.
On Monday, I went into ICBC to renew my licence, paid the $17, and could drive again, but I still did not feel whole.
We got home and neatly placed on our welcome mat was my driver’s licence.
No note, nothing.
I want to send a huge thank you to the person who took the time to drive out and drop off my licence. It’s nice to know that people like you are still around, wish I had been home to actually tell you that.
So, I hope you get this note from me telling you thank you and that I feel whole again.
