Driving through South Surrey a few days ago, I saw a small homemade sign in front of a house.

It had several Chinese characters and a phone number – nothing else.

I took a picture and when I returned home I checked Google’s language translator.

The translation? “For Rent.”

In other words, the landlord was specifically advertising for a certain segment of the population.

Can someone please explain how is this not racial prejudice?
