Re: ‘Quite a coup’ in rail-safety funding: MP, Sept. 21.

We have only lived in White Rock for four years and I have read many letters to Peace Arch News about the annoyance of the train whistles and horns through out the night.

I have always said it is because of people on the tracks.

The front-page photograph in Friday’s paper proves my point. People take risks crossing the tracks.

What is the poor guy operating the train suppose to do besides blow his horn as long and loud as possible?

Donna Brydges, White Rock
