Re: A focus on First Nation’s water, Oct. 19 letters.
I would like to comment that Surrey’s water comes from Metro Vancouver’s treatment plant in Coquitlam.
The treatments are: ozonation, UV disinfection, chlorination and pH adjustment by soda ash.
Surrey may use their water infrastructures to reach Semiahmoo First Nation’s South Surrey location. Who will maintain the water pipelines and collect samples for lab testings on the reservation?
