There may be an easy solution to the homeless situation. How many homeless people are from another province? Provide, for example, social assistance for six months while the person finds accommodation and employment.

On the seventh month, if they have no accommodation or job, then the province provides a bus or plane ticket to return to their province.

If a person wants to continue on social assistance, then they can continue in their own province. Why should B.C. taxpayers pay for a person from another province to live on social assistance?
