On Dec. 15, 2014 the then-White Rock City Council in a closed-door meeting made the decision to abandon residents living in multi-family buildings and businesses by cancelling waste-collection services.

The consequences of this decision are very obvious today.

Numerous garbage trucks are seen and heard every day of the week on the streets of White Rock. Every day, garbage bins can be seen and smelled on various streets in White Rock.

This all could have been avoided if the city council of the day had not downloaded this responsibility, but instead had made the better and proper decision to continue having the city responsible for garbage collection for multi-family buildings and businesses.

Further, throughout the following four years the city council approved the construction of numerous highrises, thus adding more garbage trucks to the streets of White Rock.

Among those council members were three who are now running again for council in the upcoming civic election.

We require people with vision and intelligence who will listen to the residence of White Rock and make decisions for the betterment of all.
