Not only are there many waste retrieval companies picking up garbage at multi-family buildings and adding to noise and pollution, but some of these companies are inflicting very large fee increases.
For example, after several large increases over the years, we have recently been charged an extra 36 per cent.
This is considerably above the rate of inflation. The company could provide no satisfactory explanation regarding this increase. Apparently, as tax payers, we are being left to fend for ourselves.
