A couple of weeks ago another landmark off 8th Avenue was torn down. It would be nice if funding could be made available to preserve what precious little is left of the remaining structures of old.

Now, things are bulldozed to make room for the super-ugly row houses springing up like mushrooms all over.

When I moved to Hazelmere 50 years ago, White Rock and surroundings had great charm.

Alas, not so anymore.
