LETTERS: Speed bumps may be answer to traffic enforcement

Editor:

Kudos to the present and previous councils for their earlier efforts in eliminating train whistles, allowing White Rock residents a peaceful night’s sleep.

There are, however, other very loud and annoying noise-makers that abound, mostly in the Marine Drive area, at all hours of the day and night. I refer of course to the souped-up cars and motorcycles that can be heard accelerating blocks away.

That these disturbances are not stopped by enforcement for budgetary reasons, or whatever, I believe should be an election issue. Ask candidates you meet for their position on this. Perhaps speed bumps are the simplest answer.
