The following email was sent to Premier J. Horgan and MLAs as well as Mayor McCallum and Surrey councillors on Dec. 20.
Premier Horgan:
Your B.C. Recovery Benefit for Surrey residents will not even cover the costs of the increased taxes in the Surrey Budget 2021 that Mayor D. McCallum has railroaded through.
Premier Horgan, you have clearly stated that B.C. is in a state of emergency during this pandemic. As such, you can put a stop to the aggressive, disrespect toward the residents of Surrey by implementing a moratorium. This budget needs to be reviewed and assessed given these times we are living in.
To date, I have not received a response from anyone.
I pay taxes and I vote.
