I wonder how many people paid their Fortis BC bill without reading it.
I was shocked to see my Fortis BC bill for $459.43 – reading my bill, I discovered I used only $162.48 gas – the rest are other charges.
Delivery is $151.57. What delivery?
I saw no trucks or anything else coming to my house.
Storage, maintenance is $70.
My pipes most likely were put in 100 years ago.
Most likely those people at the time footed the bill.
In my 60 years living here there was only one time they did maintenance – changing the meter at their request.
The rest of my bill are charges by different levels of government for who knows what.
I feel gas should be an essential service and these charges by Fortis BC should not be allowed.
We are a very complacent society but I feel we should stand up for ourselves when we are being taken to the cleaners.
