I happened to watch TV as B.C.’s minister for public safety arose in the house and moved that the sergeant-at-arms and the legislative clerk be removed from the house.

There was no apparent reason given. All members then – without discussion – voted in favour of the motion. Since then, I heard the BC Liberal leader on the radio questioning this motion without any reason being given.

When it was raised in the house, why were questions not asked then and there, when they had the chance?

Are the members of the house party to information not available to taxpayers?

One can only hope this situation will have a better outcome than the firing of the health-care workers.
