On behalf of Richmond Society for Community Living (RSCL), and particularly our home-share manager and emergency-response manager, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the White Rock community who worked diligently with us to bring to safety one of our individuals who was recently missing from Richmond. With notice shared broadly on social media, several local residents called our emergency response number with precise information on the individual’s whereabouts.
Once the individual was located, one resident stayed with him until police arrived. The RCMP who responded were patient and respectful of the individual’s rights. We are grateful to those in White Rock who assisted us, resulting in a positive outcome for everyone.
