LETTERS: Twenty years is too long to wait for intersection to be fixed

I have lived on 40 Avenue since 1991. A median was placed on the 152/40 Avenue cross-streets to prevent accidents. This is a two-lane road, yet somehow traffic is meant to navigate through six lanes (including turning lanes) of traffic at 176 Street and 40 Avenue.

The city should be ashamed of itself at the sheer count of lives lost at this intersection.

My sister almost lost her life years ago when a gas station was still in operation at the intersection.A young, 23-year-old man was a the latest tragedy.

Please do something sooner rather than later. Waiting 20-odd years is long enough.
