Thank you for publishing the article about the John Volken Academy and the wonderful work they do for young people with an addiction problem.
It is such a shame that there are empty beds available and I hope that this article will help parents who are desperate for help for their son or daughter who has an addiction.
Yes, $5,000 is a large amount of money, but for two years’ room, board and treatment it is certainly worth pursuing.
I’m sure there are many good people who may be able to help a struggling family with the down payment.
Many addicts move in and out of regular facilities but this man with a big heart recognizes that it takes time to deal with putting an addicted young person back together again and contributing to the good of their community.
John Volken saw a need and is filling it.
I take my hat off to him.
