Once again, I have to agree with Gary Wolgemuth.

The last iteration of “pruning the hump” was an unmitigated disaster, leaving a once-pristine piece of our community an ugly clear-cut scar.

If I am correct, the last pruning was done to apparently stabilize the hill (although we all knew the real reason – $1 million views, anyone).

The reality was large sums of cash being spent last year, and the disruption of traffic along Marine Drive, in order to actually stabilize the hill after all the natural stabilization was removed for aforementioned views.

Do we never actually learn? Please, leave the hump alone.
