We have a lot to be thankful for, living on the Semiahmoo Peninsula.

I have just returned home from surgery at Peace Arch Hospital to correct a life-threatening situation.

Throughout the entire process – from Dr. Rangappa Balakrishna’s diligence resulting in early detection, which saved my life, to the day-surgery nurses and staff in the colonoscopy and CT-scan departments, to the surgeon, Dr. Ed Chang, who performed the procedure, and his staff and, lastly, to the nurses and staff at PAH who looked after me post-surgery – words aren’t enough to tell you how thankful I am for how well you treated and cared for me.

From the beginning to the successful completion, there were absolutely no delays in the process. For this I am also grateful.

A very special thanks to the kind person who returned my wallet, with all of its contents, to the Surrey RCMP on Monday or Tuesday.

It’s nice to know there’s some good people around.
