Re: The difference of education, May 10 letters.
The letter from Landon Gill from Southridge School on “making a difference” was very good.
I believe that there could be change worldwide for ‘working children,’ if a seventh grader is involving himself.
But let us also examine just what the term ‘working children’ means. In many countries, this work can provide sustenance for the child in dire circumstances.
We should also study how so many of our children with the privilege of education do not learn to “work” to exist in a society.
There are times when one wonders if there is a sense of boredom with education without work.
