Re: Indifference to democracy, Dec. 8 letters.
I would like to echo Steven Hughes’ sentiments.
How disappointing it is that less than a third of eligible people voted in our last municipal election.
I don’t understand how people don’t exercise this right of freedom.
When I think of all the people who have given their lives so that we may have the right to vote, and of those throughout the world who are giving their lives every day to have this right we take for granted, all I can say is: Shame Shame!
