Join the Kent Street Activity Centre in White Rock for a variety of excursions and activities through the winter, and it's looking for minibus drivers.

The Kent Street Activity Centre offers minibus excursions to a variety of locations throughout the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island and Howe Sound/ Whistler. These trips offer older adults a chance to engage socially, form new friendships and enjoy some fun recreational activities. We are currently in need of drivers with a Class 2 or 4 driver’s licence to join our team. If you are a friendly and reliable individual who enjoys working with seniors, has strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others we would love to hear from you. For more information on this paid opportunity, call 604-541-2236.

• The Kent Street Seniors Society is collecting books for their annual book and bake sale on Saturday, Feb. 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kent Street Activity Centre. The coffee shop will be open during the book sale and will be selling a delicious assortment of baked goods as well as soup and sandwiches.

• Every Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. you are invited to join the Kent Street Activity Centre’s Stitch & Chat group and work on your own needlecraft, knitting, or quilting project in the company of others.
