The White Rock South South Surrey Baseball Association will host some of the Lower Mainland's top young ball players this summer, as three all-star tournaments are set to hit Peninsula diamonds.
The District 3 Mini 8 all-star tournament is the first on the schedule, bringining together eight teams from White Rock, Surrey, Langley City, North Langley, Hastings (Vancouver), Dunbar (Vancouver) and Coquitlam. The five-day tourney, held at White Rock's Centennial Park, begins Thursday, June 28 and wraps up Monday, July 2.
Next up, the nine- and 10-year-old Selects Tournament – made up of five teams from White Rock, Surrey, Langley City, North Langley and Coquitlam – hits the field from Friday, July 6 until Sunday, July 8 at Centennial Park.
The 11-12 Selects tournament, which also features five to six teams from District 3 cities, will take place at South Surrey Athletic Park from July 13-15.
