BC championships take over Langley Events Centre

Three high school champions will be crowned as Langley Events Centre hosts volleyball provincials

It promises to be a busy and exciting few days at the Langley Events Centre.

Fifty-two teams in three divisions will battle for provincial bragging rights as the LEC hosts the 2017 BC high school boys/girls provincial volleyball championships.

The action gets underway Wednesday (Nov. 29) and runs until Saturday.

On the boys side, the Langley Christian Lightning look to successfully defend their 2016 title in the AA division. The 16-team field also includes another local squad, the Langley Fundamental Titans.

Twenty teams will battle for the boys’ AAA title while another 16 go for gold in the AAAA girls tournament.

The action runs all week with the gold medal matches on Saturday.

The AAAA girls final is at 3 p.m. with the AAA boys final at 5 p.m.

The tournament concludes with the AA boys final at 7 p.m.
