BC Lions’ TJ Lee inspires young football players at South Surrey practice

Defensive back visit part of CFL team’s Punt, Pass and Kick competition

The White Rock South Surrey Titans Minor Football Association had a special visitor at their regular Tuesday night practice on Sept. 5.

BC Lions defensive back TJ Lee came to practise with the Titans’ junior flag to junior bantam divisions (age five to 13) at their South Surrey Athletic Park field, with the Titans cheer team there to practise their routines and add to the fun as well.

Members of the BC Lions visit minor football clubs within the Vancouver Mainland Football League every year as part of their Punt, Pass and Kick competition.

Having just started the football season with several wins over the Labour Day long weekend, the White Rock South Surrey organization is also hosting Titans Day this Sunday, Sept. 10, at South Surrey Athletic Park.

The event, which will feature an all-day barbecue and Titans merchandise sales, also serves as a major fundraiser for the minor football club.
