Sea Wolves excel in Portland pool

Pair of South Surrey swimmers finish four at Paul Bergen Junior Swim Meet in Oregon

A pair of Pacific Sea Wolves Swim Club members excelled in the pool in Portland, Ore. last weekend, at the Paul Bergen Junior Swim Meet.

Aksel Smit-Anseeuw finished in fourth place in the men’s 200-m backstroke, while Olivvya Chow scooped a fourth-place finish in the women’s 200-m individual medley.

The international event drew swimmers from as far away as France and Germany.

Also last weekend, PSW alum Hillary Caldwell – who represented Canada at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London – broke a B.C. senior provincial record in the women’s 200-m backstroke during a meet in Victoria.
