Three youth South Surrey soccer players are headed south this week.

The trio of 10-year-olds – Jaden Gosal, Hugo Patel and Jeevan Badwal – were selected recently to take part in the Wolverhampton Wanderers’ US National Academy camp, set for Arizona.

Three three youngsters play for the new Newton-based Pacific United Soccer Club’s Elite ‘06 team, and were selected for the Arizona event after attending a camp in North Delta last month.

The Wolverhampton Wanders FC are a professional English club that compete in the second highest tier of English football.

The Arizona academy selects the top youth players from across North America from a field of more than 20,000 players, according to a Pacific United Soccer release.
