105-year-old Dorothy Palmer got the chance to meet Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes during the team's training camp in Penticton.

A Kelowna centenarian got to meet her hero while the Vancouver Canucks hosted their training camp in Penticton from Sept. 19-22.

On July 17, Canucks fan Dororthy Palmer turned 105 years old and to celebrate, the team sent her a custom jersey with her last name and 105 on the back, as well as a personalized video message from Canucks captain Quinn Hughes.

Two months later, she got the chance to go to Canucks training camp and jumped out of her seat when she met Captain Hughes.

Hughes went on to sign the back of Palmer's custom jersey, writing "thank you for all the support."

The Vancouver Canucks regular season starts on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
