Passed away in White Rock, BC, on October 27, 2010, one day away from the grand age of 87. Bea leaves to cherish her, Ardyis, her loving husband of 64 years. Three children Melvin[Judy], Burton [Lana]and Darlene [Gaetan]. Her precious nine grandchildren Travis [Liz], Matthew [Brittany], Scotty, Christina, [Arlo], Nicole, Chad [Shandi], Charle, Chelsea and Choal and two treasured great grandchildren Wyatt and Evangeline. She will also be remembered by numerous relatives and friends. Bea grew up on the farm outside of Elnora. She earned her own education by selling crops from part of the farm that her Dad gave her to work. Bea started teaching in a one-room schoolhouse. She married, started her family in Calgary and then moved to Kelowna where she continued her passion for teaching. There she taught special education and finished her career as the much loved Kindergarten teacher at South Kelowna Elementary school. Bea and Art retired and enjoyed many special years traveling in their motorhome. She carried on with her teaching skills to document with pictures and writing in what are now the family heirloom scrapbooks. Bea was never idle and filled her life to the fullest. She was generous and loving. A very thoughtful lady who supported not only her family and many support groups, but the world at large. Her gift of loving and giving will go on for generations. The Memorial service for Bea will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial - Fraser Heights Chapel, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, B.C. A request was made for donations to the Kelowna Boys and Girls Club in lieu of flowers.
