Gordon William Browne

Gordon William of White Rock passed away at Peace Arch Hospital at the age of eighty, on September 18, 2003. Gordon was born on July 11, 1923 in Vancouver, B.C. He served in World War II in the Royal Canadian Navy, followed by a long career in the pharmaceutical industry, while raising his family. After retiring he volunteered for many organizations in the community.

Gordon was a kind and honourable man and very devoted to his family. He is survived by his sisters Helen, Dorothy and Audrey, his children, Alberta, Russ, Julie, and Alli, his grandchildren, Saul, Louie, Marie, Caitlin and Alessandra, his long time companion, Irene and his best friend Ivan. Special thanks to his neighbour, MIke for his caring assistance.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2003 at Crescent Beach United Church, 2756 - 127th Street, Surrey, B.C. A luncheon followed at the Royal Canadian Legion, Crescent Branch #240, 2643 - 128th Street, Surrey, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Crescent Branch, in Gordon's memory.
