Kermit Pershing Johnson passed way peacefully at age 88 in Peace Arch

Hospital, White Rock, B.C. on March 30, 2007.

Born in the family farmhouse in the Bickleigh, Saskatchewan area he resided there until joining the RCAF in 1941.

Married to Jessie Mackenzie of Chipperfield, Sask. in 1941 they went on to raise five boys, Dale, Douglas, Grant, Stuart and Gregory.

His parents Thorvald and Florence, brother Phillip and granddaughter, Amanda, predeceased Kermit.

His love for music never faded beginning with his first band at age 15. For some years he played with the "Racketeers" in the Plato, Sask. area and thereafter with several others.

Banjo was his first love followed by the accordion, piano and organ. He played with his last band group at the White Rock Baptist Church in White Rock.

He will be remembered and missed by his wife Jessie, their five sons and wives, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Church services were held at the Baptist Church on April 5, 2007.

Internment will take place at a future date at the Eston, Sask. Cemetery.
