It is with sorrow that the family of ROD MALLINSON announce his death after a short illness. He died peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital on March 10th after a short illness at the age of 83.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, her children Jennifer (Gordie) and Mark, and by his brother, Theo. Predeceased by his first wife, Noreen, and survived by his children, Denise (Bob), Peter, Rodney and Paula (Brian) and grandchildren, Kelley, Ashleigh, Vanessa and Kevin.

Rod was born in Victoria, educated at The Leys School, Cambridge, England, and after serving in the R.A.F. he attended U.B.C., attaining his B.Sc. in 1951. Retiring after many years as Manager of Gulf Log Salvage, he moved to Pender Island and later moved to South Surrey.

By request, there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in his name.

Our sincere thanks to the Palliative Care Support team, without whose help it would not have been possible to care for Rod at home until the last days of his illness.
