JACKSON, Roger William

Born in January of 1941 in New

Westminster, BC, Roger William Jackson

made his last wildly inappropriate and

likely sarcastic comment on August 22,

2017 at the age of 76. Father, grandfather, brother, husband, friend and often the life of the party, Roger was many things to many people.

Survived by his devoted wife, Diane, brothers Len, Bob and Jerry, and sister, Judy. Missed terribly by his daughters, Kellie (Shane) and Sherrie (Garnet), and loved greatly by his

3 adoring grandsons, Charlie, Connor, and Griffin.

Preceded in death by his mother, Jennie, younger brother Barry, and far too many great friends along the way.

Roger loved good friends, good stories, and a good bottle of scotch… preferably all at the same time. He had a passion

for old cars and the ocean, and indulged in both regularly.

Roger loved to tell stories, and you could be sure that at least 50% of them were true. He was fiercely proud of his

‘Viking ancestry’ and his ‘River Rat’ upbringing, and took enormous pleasure in regaling everyone with stories of his

misspent youth. Most of all, Roger valued his family and devoted circle of friends.

Celebration of Life to be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (11040 River Rd, Delta, BC) on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
