August 19, 1947 - March 14, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Joncas of White Rock, BC.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents Steve and Mary Chapelsky, sister Judy, and brother Rick.
Sharon will be missed by her son Marc (Kathleen), brother Dan (Betty), sister Gail, sister-in-law Donna, nieces Christine (Dave), Debbie (John), Jessica (Jerry) and nephew Stephen (Jay); great-nieces Holly (Melody), Maddy, Keilah, Maya, and great-nephew Marcus, as well as many other family and friends.
Sharon was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. After brief moves to Vernon and Edmonton, Sharon called White Rock her home for 38 years.
Sharon's passion was her love of food and cooking, and she treasured family dinners and gatherings. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jeopardy, cribbage and recently, online games. Her hobbies also included travel and photography.
Sharon often reminisced about her departed fur-babies Charlie, Snoopy and Punkin with fond affection. In her retirement years, Sharon found great joy in volunteering at Shop by Phone for seniors in the White Rock area.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11 am at Beecher Place, 12160 Beecher Street, Crescent Beach, BC.
Donations in Sharon's name are graciously welcomed to Sources Community Resource Centre or a charity of your choice.
