White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society was the recipient of more than $4,000 raised through The Shops at Morgan Crossing’s fourth-annual Car & Motorcycle show.
Proceeds included $500 donated by Sammy J’s Grill & Bar and $3,859 raised at the June 9 event through ticket sales, prize draws and donations.
The cheque for $4,359.50 was presented to hospice society associate director Theresa Robson by Sammy J’s owner Steve Gardner and The Shops at Morgan Crossing event co-ordinator Sarah Park on June 25.
All the funds from the event will go to supporting the hospice society’s programs and services.
