Moving for hunger

A Semiahmoo Peninsula moving company is partnering with Move for Hunger, hoping customers will donate from their pantries.

Semiahmoo Peninsula moving company Crescent Moving and Storage is partnering with Move for Hunger this month, aiming to collect non-perishable food items for local food banks.

Move for Hunger works with relocation companies throughout North American to give people moving into new homes a helping hand if they need it.

Crescent Moving is offering customers a 10 per cent discount if they donate items from their pantries, rather than toss them when they move.

“To help other families and neighbours in my community who wonder where their next meal will come from is truly humbling,” said Crescent Moving and Storage owner Philip Sachinidis.

“To be able to share that with my customers is a wonderful opportunity.”
