University students looking for a financial boost for the coming school year are invited to apply for two bursaries offered by the University Women's Club.
Each bursary – worth $3,500 each – will be awarded to the recipient based on financial need, community service and personal achievement.
To qualify, the applicant must be a graduate of School District 36 or have been a resident of Surrey or White Rock for five years, and must be entering the third year or higher or a degree program at a college of university.
Since 1986, the Surrey/White Rock Bursary Foundation has awarded $333,000 to women pursuing higher education.
